Tom Schneider: The Donkey Bomber

Tom Schneider is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and was born on December 24th, 1959. He is an experienced poker player residing in Phoenix, Arizona. Tom by profession is a CPA and at one time president and corporate officer (CFO) of three big companies in Arizona before embarking on a career in poker in 2002.

Tom was exposed to poker early in his life. He learned to play the game when he was about 10 years old, playing against his mother and her friends. One summer, Tom was paid five dollars each day as a baby sitter for his younger sister. He would eventually use his day's wage playing five-card draw poker with his friends. Tom realized that playing poker games was a profitable venture so he continued playing poker throughout high school.

When he was 19 years old, Tom's sister gifted him with Doyle Brunson's book Super System. The book supplied Schneider information that further developed his poker skill. Soon, Tom began traveling to Las Vegas on a regular basis just to play Texas limit holdem. In the meantime, Schneider is still attending his classes at Arizona State University. He finally got his bachelor's degree in accounting and finance.

Tom played poker to augment his finances while working in the golf business. Through hard work, Tom became president of the company Royal Precision. Later in his life, Tom got tired of the business world and soon found himself writing the book "Oops! I Won Too Much Money: Winning Wisdom from the Boardroom to the Poker Table". This book provides lectures for both business and poker.

Tom is no longer connected to the golf business. He, together with Dan Michalski and Karridy Askenasy, host "Beyond the Table" a poker radio program freely accessible on iTunes. Schneider is also a regular contributor at Pokerati.

At the World Series of Poker 2007 edition, Tom Schneider got his first two gold bracelets at the World Series of Poker.
